With parental consent, Fairways staff will liaise with supporting agencies to provide a range of activities and resources that encourage children to reach their full potential.
Fees Include : Breakfast, Lunch, light tea and a variety of healthy snacks throughout the day. Drinks are always available on request.
Pre-School Education
Our main pre-school aim is to allow children to progress naturally at their own pace and gain the skills and confidence necessary to make the happy transition to school from nursery a happy one.
We follow the foundation stage curriculum and work towards the six early learning goals;-
o Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
o Language, Literacy and Communication Development.
o Mathematical Development.
o Knowledge and Understanding of the World.
o Physical Development.
o Creative Development.
Work will be topic or theme based with an emphasis on learning through play.
Children are encouraged to work and share together, build friendships and appreciate their own and each other’s work. Our job is to put the fun into their learning and draw out the learning in their fun.
Staffing is based on one adult to eight children invariably our staffing levels exceed this.
Toddlers and Children under 3 years old
Children under three are encouraged to take a full part in the nursery curriculum. We adapt activities with regard to the age and stage of the children in the group.
We are providing activities and resources that develop the key skills they will need to progress on to the foundation stage.
We believe that at this early stage building children’s self esteem and encouraging them to “have a go” in a safe and supportive atmosphere is a good starting point for developing positive attitudes to further learning.
