Welcome to Fairways Child Care
Fairways is a bright and well resourced nursery offering quality childcare for children aged 2 - 5 years. We are open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, 50 weeks of the year.
The nursery is situated in the picturesque village of Stisted approximately 2 miles from Braintree and under 5 from Halstead.
With our rural location, there is a natural emphasis on outdoor activities whether it is playing in the well-equipped garden, planting or gardening in the wildlife garden or enjoying one of the many local woodland walks watching the seasons change.
Within our broad well-balanced indoor curriculum, we recognise the important role “just playing” has in the early years. We encourage children to experiment, explore their environment for themselves allowing time and providing opportunity for children to practice new skills and perfect the old.
We are forging good links with the local Primary school, Stisted. C. of E., to support children through the transition from nursery to school.

We believe that children learn best through play and first hand experiences, in a safe
and stimulating environment with adults they trust. With this in mind, we take into account individual children’s interest, experiences and age/stage of development to provide activities that encourage exploration and discussion.
